Seven drawing from a larger series on the theme of dogs who have no pedigree. Drawn as composites of various dog breeds (and other creatures), the drawing of the dog was to give the image life from a most improbable start. Indeed, breeding at its most refined often leads to all kinds of problems and deformities - mongrels are the ones who have to make their own way, make the best of a bad job, which can result in the most powerful poery, music, visual art - a burning need to express/exorcise what is felt inside.
