With watercolour, a lot of paint goes out with the paint-water. To make use of this, and as a contribution to re-cycling, ‘trays’ were made of watercolour paper by folding up the four sides and taping these to make four small walls. The paint-water was then poured in to the paper trough and left to dry for several months. The stained result then became the starting point for a ‘staged’ image.
